Return to Home page - ALT 1   Father Christmas Sleigh

Every evening during the run-up to Christmas we tour the streets of Shirley raising funds for worthwhile local causes as well as giving local children an early opportunity to see Santa. In addition at the weekends Father Christmas and his sleigh are present at the local supermarkets.

Christmas 2009 Shirley Lions collected the magnificent sum of £5,685 from the sleigh collection and would like to thank all the residents of Shirley, Solihull Lodge and Dickens Heath who contributed so generously. Our thanks also go to Stratstone Land Rover, Sainsburys, Tescos and Toys R Us without whose support we would not have been able to raise this magnificent sum.  Please watch this space as details of the 2010 street collection will appear here by November. Santa will also be at the following venues :

Saturday 4th December - Dickens Heath Community Centre

Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th December - Sainsbury's Shirley
